Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for individuals who have completed our Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or an equivalent outpatient mental health treatment program at another provider and are eager to continue their recovery from severe mental disorder. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach in our IOP that mirrors our PHP offering but can also accommodate clients arriving from outside treatment programs. Using a combination of individual and group therapeutic modalities, peer support, and life skills training, our IOP sessions help clients move towards a less structured and more hands-off treatment approach. In turn, clients learn to put their skills into practice as they begin to re-enter daily life outside of regular daily treatment for their mental health.
What to Expect at IOP
Clients attend IOP sessions Monday through Friday between 9 am and 12:30 pm, with appropriate breaks. Over the course of the program, clients participate in 4 group support sessions, with each session ranging from 45 to 60 minutes. Most of our clients attend sessions for 4 to 6 weeks at our Worcester, MA location.
