Kim Barnaby, MSW, LCSW

Kim earned a BA in Psychology in 2012 through Baypath University, earned her MSW from Springfield College in 2015 and is currently working towards her second master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. She has been a practicing LCSW in various capacities for eight years.With over 10 years of professional experience in the field of mental health, Kim has a thorough understanding of the dynamics and innerworkings of many complex systems such as DCF, DYS, drug courts, and the criminal justice system.Kim is passionate about working with individuals and their families struggling with substance use disorder and the many other complexities associated with substance use disorder, eating disorders, mood disruptions, anxiety, stress, and grief.Kim utilizes a holistic approach that is person-centered, strength-based and solution-focused that is often complimented with skill building techniques such as CBT, DBT, resiliency building, and motivational interviewing. Kim’s commitment to her clients is to provide compassionate and empathic care in a judgement free, safe place where no matter what your circumstances may be, they do not define you; you define you.
